A Stargazing Party

Good morning, friends! I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. Now that summer is unofficially upon us, it’s time to talk summer parties. Specifically this morning, stargazing parties. Created for Leaf Magazine, the talented team behind Lumina Portrait shared this awesome party idea featuring a cozy stargazing platform atop a VW van and loads of cheeky space-related references like an IPA beer called UFO and a signature cocktail dubbed The Cosmic-Politan. I love this idea for some good ol’ fashioned summer fun! End the night with a big bonfire and you have all the makings of an awesome evening.

Hey, this is an incredible concept. I've not experienced the lovely Cosmic cocktail during my star-gazing expeditions -- usually it's swatting away bugs, re-adjusting the focus on the telescope, sore neck from two sets of binocs. The best star gazing I experienced was during a frigid night in Durham watching the Leonid Meteor Shower. I set up cushy chaise lounges, and we all dressed in winter wear and sipped from cups of hot chocolate. Sublime!
