A Secret Garden Inspiration Shoot

Last spring I was contacted by the incredible Kelly Stremmel about teaming up on an editorial shoot, bringing together some of Central New York’s finest wedding vendors. A series of emails sharing inspiration flew back and forth, with Kelly and I teaming up to bring to life what is, hands down, my favorite shoot I’ve designed to date. Amidst the perfect lush green grounds of Lorenzo Mansion, I wanted to evoke a super romantic, secret garden inspired look with a color palette of aqua, ivory and peach. Bits of lace, vintage textiles, textured papers and gorgeous stationery from Fig. 2 Design Studio took center stage here and every little detail came together flawlessly, from the stunning dresses to the gorgeous flowers from The Backyard Garden. Visit The Sweetest Occasion on facebook for even more details and more of Kelly’s gorgeous photos.

The table overlay is actually vintage and was a flea market find that Kelly had stashed away. I’ve found similar lace netting at fabric stores though!

Hey Heather! It was actually a vintage piece that Kelly, the photographer, had and it just happened to work perfectly. I have had good luck finding similar things at specialty fabric shops, antique shops and flea markets though. Good luck! :-)
