An Outer Space Birthday Party

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was a combination of both really busy on Saturday and really lazy on Sunday. Just how I like it! I thought I’d start the week with this fabulous birthday party that the amazing Kate of Beautiful Days planned for her son Wyatt. To say that Wyatt turned four in fine fashion would be an understatement! Kate made allĀ  of the favors and decor and set up a coloring station using spacemen crayons she scored on Etsy. Paper lanterns were turned into planets and formed a solar system overhead for a party that is bright, cheerful and full of child-like wonder.

Thanks so much for sharing, Kate! For more of Kate’s party planning and floral design greatness, check out these past features on The Sweetest Occasion -

What a fantastic idea! I love the decorations, and it looks like the kids had a blast.

Thanks for sharing Cyd! It was a great day and I am so happy you love it as much as Wyatt did!

Just love that it is a “boys” birthday party today! We need more of them! Very creative the way the paper lanters were made into planets! Love the idea, and may have to use it! Love how every detail has a “homemade” feel about it, like the old fashion birthday partities use to be when I was a kid back in the 60″s. Great job. Thanks for sharing!

omg. all the details and decor are so on par with the theme! what a lucky kid!

Oh my, those solar system with lanterns is amazing! I did a rocket party for my son last year and I WISH I would have thought of that!

Unbelievably impressed and proud !

Hi all – I think the most recent comment is from Wyatt’s 91 year old great grandma! He’s such a lucky little dude :)
