Inspired Creations – Mid-Century Modern Butterfly Tablescape

Today’s Inspired Creations Contest entry is bold, colorful, dramatic and incredibly chic. It is a unique, inspired collaboration from Kate Miller Events, Flourish and Sarah Maren Photography and it’s just the right sort of cheery and bright, perfect for a late week pick me-up. I love the over the tops swirls of butterflies and tulips, an absolutely breathtaking centerpiece that sets the stage unlike any other.

Kate shares, “From there Shannon of Flourish designed this gorgeous modern large goblet centerpiece of coral tulips – it’s base echoed the shape of our table, while it’s bubble shape embraced the movement of the florals. I discovered large glass bubbles at CB2 and adhered them to the tabletop anchoring them around the centerpiece. Our green modern chargers, white teardrop cake plates, stainless flatware and stemless glassware continued our modern look and feel. The gorgeous chocolate flower topped cupcakes were covered with a clear glass cloche and furthered our modern atrium-like design.”

The colorful butterflies perched on the bubbles, glassware and even atop the whirly globes filled with tulips and tealights, added a sense of organic movement and life to the design. We added green pillows to the french slotted chairs and accented each with a mini bamboo Luxecut™ monogram chair tie.”

Our bride, with makeup done by Nicole Solarez of Deja Du Salon, wears gorgeous Melissa Sweet gowns from Bella Donna Bridal Salon and kelly green suede Banana Republic leaf heels. She is accessorized with a glass-like facted bangle bracelet and giant briolet drops, which peek out of her birdcage veil. She carries a beautiful bouquet of coral tulips, pincushion and calla lilies concocted by Flourish Designs.”

Absolutely beautiful, right? I am in love with this unexpectedly mod botanical design and the bold color palette. Thank you so much, ladies, for being a part of the Inspired Creations Contest!
