DIY Valentine’s Day Craft Ideas

Ok, it’s confession time. I’ve never been big on Valentine’s Day. For all of the girly romantic in me, Valentine’s Day  has just never been an occasion I’ve gotten too excited about. Actually, it has always been more of an excuse for my mother to buy my sister and I sweet little cards and flowers than a romantic celebration of any kind in my world. Maybe it’s the commercialism of it all that gets to me and the big push by jewelry retailers to “wow her” with something flashy. I just don’t buy into that kind of thing. However, I do love the idea of making a sweet homemade Valentine’s Day card with a little handwritten note expressing love to your spouse, your mom, your sister, or even your best girlfriend. As always, the Martha Stewart website is loaded with DIY Valentine’s Day card ideas you’ll want to check out if you’re thinking about getting crafty this year. None of the projects require much more than some combination of glue, paper and scissors so they’re perfect for even the most novice of crafters.
