A Parrott Design Studio Bridal Shower

I always love when a reader emails me to share a beautiful celebration, but when that reader is the wonderful Sarah Parrott, it’s a really exciting day in my world. Sarah was married earlier this fall and over the summer her sister, Jessica Parrott Robitaille of Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott, and their mother Janet planned Sarah a beautiful shower at her aunt’s waterfront home in New Hampshire. The look and feel of the shower centered around an eclectic mix of Sarah’s favorite things – vintage finds, French design, farmhouse details, birds, and flowers. Jessica used a bright array of colors including pinks, browns, corals, yellows, and oranges and baked up a gorgeous dessert buffet featuring a strawberry cake, carrot cake, Parisian macarons, whoopie pies, chocolate covered pretzels, and chocolate button lollipops.

Many of the flowers came from Sarah’s parents’ garden, including the gorgeous pink and yellow dahlias. The centerpieces on the tables were made by Minott’s Flowers and consisted of smaller vases with the same flowers. Each guest took home a vintage teacup, all thrifted by Sarah’s sister and mom, with homemade madeleines and a bag of tea.

Sarah’s family, including her now sister in-law Deb Bianculli created an incredible menu for the shower, including bruschetta, spanakopita, orange-infused asparagus, bread-stuffed artichokes, lobster tea sandwiches, “Thanksgiving Day” sandwiches (compete with Tofurky for the bride), Cape Cod chicken salad, grilled chicken and mango pitas, roasted veggies and hummus pitas, Caesar salad, and spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette. For cocktails they served pomegranate and blueberry bellinis and pineapple martinis.  Sounds amazing!

Isn’t Sarah’s shower so bright and fun? I love the festive colors and all of the sweet, personalized details. I love seeing a bride’s loved ones come together to throw such a beautiful celebration. Thank you for sharing, Sarah!
