It’s been a little while since we’ve had a real wedding around these parts, but today it’s time to dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to party! Virginia and Michael were married in Ojai, California in a wedding that was somehow a most lovely combination of budget-friendly, personal and absolutely stunning. Of course, a gorgeous couple with killer style never hurts. Take into consideration Michael’s amazing purple suede shoes and the couple’s pet tortoise who served as ring bearer and I’m all kinds of in love with this beautiful celebration. Many thanks to Laura Goldenberger for sharing this beautiful wedding!

I love starting every week with a pretty color palette to kick things off. Because sometimes Monday mornings just call for a little extra cream in an especially tall cup of coffee and a fresh dose of something pretty. I’ve found myself really loving neutrals lately. Winter whites and shades of vanilla in particular. So today’s color palette is totally inspired by that, mixing vanilla and meringue with graphite and taupe. So lovely and kind of perfect for winter, don’t you think? 2013. Let’s do this, shall we?

Happy Friday, friends! I hope everyone has had a great start to 2013. I know it was pretty quiet around here this week, but I’ve been working on gearing up for some new projects, including a really exciting little site facelift, which I hope will go live in the next month or so. (Fingers crossed!) Next week will be jam-packed with prettiness and loads of ideas for bringing a little beauty to your world in the new year. In the meantime, a cozy weekend at home is on the docket so I will see you back here on Monday! Happy weekend to you!

A little link love for your weekend…
I thought I would take a quick moment today to share with you a few Christmas snippets, Instagram style of course. My holidays involved lots of time with family and loved ones, more than my fair share of Tom and Jerrys, and lots and lots of snow. Add in copious amounts of coffee, mountains of presents to wrap, baking cookies, prepping photo shoots and spying on Christmas lights through the neighborhood and December turned out to be a pretty amazing month!

I have to say, at the edge of possibility of all that 2013 could be, I am feeling remarkably lucky and blessed for this humble little life that I am living. Count me in as eternally grateful for the love that surrounds me and the love I am lucky enough to give in return.

Good morning and happy 2013, friends! I hope everyone had a beautiful holiday celebration. I’m still working on getting back in the swing of things and have been enjoying a little extra down time this week, sipping on coffee and tackling a few organization projects. I’m so excited to see what 2013 has in store for all of us, especially after the whirlwind that was 2012. It’s been a little bit since I’ve shared a color palette with you so this feels a bit overdue. Besides, this combination of lovely rich rose and dusty miller was speaking to me. Doesn’t it feel so crisp and romantic for winter? I’m kind of loving it, I have to say.
