Every year I feature some of my favorite holiday cards and, believe it or not, that time has come! Personally, I love holiday cards that are fun, colorful and feature some combination of great envelopes, beautiful typography, hand lettering and a bit of funky personality. I think we can all relate to loving holiday mail! As always, I defer to my awesome friend Nole of Oh So Beautiful Paper for the most complete and awe-inspiring holiday card coverage going, but …

A 30th Birthday Party in a Box

A 30th Birthday Party in a Box

I love the awesome party in a box that Amanda Jane Jones designed for her husband’s 30th birthday. Realizing most of the people she wanted to invite to the 30th birthday party she really wanted to throw him, she instead bundled up the party and sent it to them! Each package contained confetti, party straws, buttons, jelly beans, paper mustaches, an info-graphic inspired by the birthday boy and instructions to have a party and send photos. Pretty genius, right? …

Good morning and happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was consumed by packing, moving and prep for a huge project I’m working on today. (I can’t wait to share in a few weeks!) As I was working along, I stumbled upon these darling letterpress baby announcements by Moglea and thought they were just the sweetest way to ease into the week. The sophisticated color palette paired with the fun, child-like hand lettering is just the …

A Burst of Sunshine

I stumbled upon the work of Tender Hearts today and it brought a smile to my face. We’re soaking up the last of the gorgeous, summer-like weather here the last couple of days and it has me so happy. There’s just nothing like the last few days of lazy sunshine before summer melts into fall to get me excited about the change of seasons. Sure, a few months from now I’ll be dying for spring, but right now I’m looking …

I’m a long time fan of MaeMae Paperie over here so I shouldn’t have been surprised to fall in love with these incredibly sweet custom wedding invitations Megan recently created in partnership with the bride, talented illustrator Debra Chow. Debra created a series of illustrations reminiscent of Polaroids depicting different scenes from her relationship with her fiancé. Megan then created the gorgeous wedding invitations and tags, which were all bundled up in a cute box. Don’t you just love these? …

Seaside Inspired Watercolor Save the Dates

You guys have probably heard me tell you how much I love the water and seaside inspired celebrations so many times you could recite it back to your grandkids someday. And I’ve also done my fair sharing of waxing poetic about gorgeous watercolor stationery on multiple occasions. That said, it’s probably pretty predictable that I’m straight up in love with these striped watercolor save the dates from Scout’s Honor Co.

Annemarie took inspiration from the couple’s plans for a summer wedding …

National Stationery Show 2011 (Part IV)

One of the true highlights of the show for me this year was meeting Elijah and Rhonda of Figs & Ginger and falling madly in love with their work. Inspired by forests and woodland creatures, they debuted a truly beautiful new collection of wooden wedding and party wares. Think lovely silhouette cake toppers, wedding signage, jewelry and pretty hangers for brides and bridesmaids. (I may or may not have left the show wearing the ‘C’ necklace pictured below.)

Another awesome letterpress …

Are you guys enjoying the paper madness yet? I can’t tell you how much I love walking the show. There is so much creativity and such a great energy on the show floor. It’s hands down one of my favorite weeks of the year. Of course, no trip around the show would be complete without a visit with my good friends Rachael and Jake of Pistachio Press. This year their collection boasted gorgeous new letterpress invitations and a to-die-for cross …

Enough of the small talk – let’s get this party started, shall we? One of my first stops and biggest loves at the show this year was Fig. 2 Design Studio. Claudia’s work is playful and celebratory, with bright neon colors, fabulous calligraphy from Meant To Be Calligraphy and a joyful spirit.

Sugarcube Press is a long time favorite of mine. Their designs are a bit quirky, a lot tongue in cheek and the perfect balance of great color and awesome …

National Stationery Show 2011 (Part I)

At long last I’ve recovered from my trek to this year’s National Stationery Show, the photos have been edited and I can’t wait to share with you a few highlights from the show. First up, it has to be noted that I spend about 98% of the show holding down the fort in the Smock booth, so it’s only right to start there. Conceptualizing, designing and pulling together the details for this year’s booth consumed most of my brain power …
