In preparation for a few new little tweaks to the site, I’ve been working on sifting through a bunch of old posts and couldn’t resist sharing a handful of favorite DIY projects from the archives. For the last few years my amazing team of contributors (Jenny, Chelsea, Alice, Kelly and Stephanie) and I have cranked out literally hundreds of DIY projects, which kind of amazes me to this day. I have big plans to continue bringing you the best DIY ideas …

Bicycle Day Dreams

Bicycle Day Dreams

Every once in a while I see something so gorgeous it really just takes my breath away. This bicycle shoot (originally spied at Creature Comforts) is totally one of those things. From the colors to the stunning flowers to the long gauzy pink skirt of this dress, it has me dreaming about all things flowers and long bike rides in the park. Because it’s totally normal to want to bike ride in a dress fit for a princess, no? On …

It dawned on me that it’s been a bit since I’ve shared recent snippets with you so today seemed as a good a time as any! Life has been busy the last few months. From traveling (with more to come), moving, celebrating my 30th birthday, and soaking up as much time with family and friends as possible, I literally can’t seem to keep track of the days and weeks as they whiz right on by. I’ve also been working on …

Raise your hand if you’re a Pinterest junkie! Yup, I thought so. Personally, I use Pinterest to catalog inspiration for everything from my home to my dinner table to holidays like Valentine’s Day. That said, sometimes I feel like the things I am loving get a bit buried so starting today I am going to be sharing more of the things I am pinning and feeling inspired by of late. Once a week I’ll pop in with a handful of pins that I’m loving, just to share …

As promised last week, I’m kicking things off this morning by sharing a little recap of my panel discussion from Alt Summit last week. Nathan Williams of Kinfolk, Promise Tangeman, Vivian Mansour of ish & chi and I were charged with the exciting (but fairly well daunting) task of sharing our picks for some of the freshest blogs going. These blogs are essentially our picks for the blogs you want to add to your daily must-read list. There were no hard and fast rules for how we each selected the …

I can’t even begin to front with you – Roberta and Diego’s Italian Alps wedding was hands down my personal favorite wedding of 2012. Bonus points – you guys loved it, too!  The epitome of elegance, the classic white and green color palette was carried throughout with beautiful flowers and greenery that just scream romance. Held at the bride’s family home nestled in the Alps, this is basically the kind of wedding that makes girls like me slightly giddy. (Or …

Another favorite this year, Katie and John’s New England farm wedding was beautiful from start to finish! The gorgeous venue, the stunning flowers and the pretty stationery were just the tip of the iceberg. The blended Irish and Jewish ceremonies and the handmade chuppah only served to make their wedding even more lovely and personal, so it’s easy to see why it was such a hit with all of you. See more of this wedding here!

The Best of 2012: A Stargazing Party

Another beautiful ode to summer, this stargazing party was one of my personal favorites in 2012. And you loved it, too! The idea is simple – gather the kiddos and a telescope and set up for an evening of star watching. Don’t forget the appropriately themed snacks and bundles of blankets to cozy up by the fire, too! This would be such a blast for the whole family. See all the details here.
