I’ve always been a huge fan of blueberries, but ever since my first trip to Maine and my inaugural taste of wild blueberries it has become a full-out obsession. So let me just tell you, these blueberry cupcakes with honey buttercream are so happening for me. With a drizzle of homemade blueberry preserves on top? I have a mind to tell you this may just be as close to heaven on earth as it gets, folks.

Perfect for enjoying something sweet over morning coffee, I’m adding these cinnamon roll donuts to my list of must-make treats. Made with almond flour and iced with a cinnamon topping and hazelnuts, they’re baked instead of fried. Oh and I have no doubt that they’re certifiably delicious. (That’s the important part, right?)

An Ice Cream Break

An Ice Cream Break

Written by | filed under Eats + Sweets | 4 comments

I’ve been home with family much of the last two weeks, sitting vigil at the hospital where my nearly 87 year old grandfather is putting up one good last fight. It has been so nice to be able to spend this time together as a family, but we’re all starting to grow weary. I think an ice cream break may be in order this evening. Doesn’t this homemade dark chocolate ice cream look just perfectly delicious?
