Vintage-Inspired Baby Shower

Vintage-Inspired Baby Shower

I’m loving this vintage-inspired baby shower spied yesterday over at Poppytalk. I adore this kind of backyard party – simple but full of sweet details like handmade bunting, cute cupcakes with fabric flags, building blocks and stacks of vintage books. From the easy floral arrangements to the clothesline filled with little baby boy clothes, everything about this shower is thoughtful and personal and just right.

School Inspired Baby Shower

School Inspired Baby Shower

Good morning! I’m getting a bit of a belated start to the week after the Easter weekend and wanted to kick the day off right with this incredibly cute school-themed baby shower. Held in honor of a school teacher, this shower is filled with cute school inspired details like apples, cafeteria trays, a composition notebook used as a guest book, a chalkboard menu, traditional school fare like sandwiches, milk and cookies, and a whole bunch of ideas that could easily …

Gray and Yellow Baby Shower by Chelle Paperie

Recently I was on the hunt for great baby and bridal shower inspiration and was delighted when the incredibly sweet (not to mention immensely talented) Katie of Chelle Paperie answered my call by sending over photos of this amazing baby shower she hosted for Chelle Paperie owner Rachelle. All of the party details were designed in gray and yellow including the amazing invitations and paper goods that Katie designed. I love the beautiful yellow rose centerpieces, the cute bunny theme, …

Pink Baby Shower Invitations

Pink Baby Shower Invitations

Today I am loving these pretty pink baby shower invitations. They were laid out in InDesign and then created using an inkjet printer, a sewing machine, Japanese paper charms, and little scraps of tulle, tissue and cupcake liners. Aren’t they incredibly sweet and charming? Perfect for a baby shower to welcome a little girl. I am logging this as reason 372 why I need to find myself an old sewing machine and learn how to get my stitch on.

Budget Friendly Wedding Centerpieces from Chelsea Fuss

Budget Friendly Wedding Centerpieces from Chelsea Fuss

Ok, so I adore basically everything Chelsea Fuss of Frolic creates and it’s really not surprising that I regularly find myself smitten with her designs for Project Wedding. However, with that said, these gorgeous budget-friendly ideas using bright fuchsia carnations (valued at a whopping $10!) blew me away. Sure, you’ve probably already heard that carnations are a great way to save money on flowers for bouquets and centerpieces, but this takes the delight to a whole new level. I love …

Jungle Themed Baby Shower

Jungle Themed Baby Shower

When Donna Romani, an event planner in Southern California who also writes a really cute blog Love and a Latte, contacted me last week I instantly fell in love with this adorable baby shower she planned for Chris and Tami. Donna also planned Chris and Tami’s wedding so she was completely thrilled for the opportunity to get to plan this fun jungle-themed co-ed baby shower for them. All of the details revolved around the playful jungle theme including the cute …

Handmade Baby Shower Inspiration

One of my goals in transitioning from chronicling my own wedding planning adventures to making The Sweetest Occasion a daily source of inspiration to those still planning, is to help brides and hosts of all parties large and small find great ideas for all occasions. To that end, I just had to share a few photos from this incredible baby shower, which I first saw posted by Melody of Sweet and Saucy Shop on Weddingbee PRO. Now, naturally, I love …
