My sister and soon-to-be brother in law fly home tomorrow, because ready or not it’s wedding week! There are so many words I could write about my sister getting married, but most of them sound an awful lot like bawling uncontrollably so I’ll save that for my toast later this weekend. In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to share a quick peek at the wedding moodboard I’ve been using while piecing together all of the elements of their celebration. Designing, planning and coordinating their wedding over the last year has been a really special process for me. While I don’t have any desire to jump back into professional event design, it has been fun to wear that hat again for a short time, especially for such a meaningful event so close to my own heart. At any rate, I’ll be sharing little snippets here and there on Snapchat throughout the week as we pull together all the final details so you can follow me there for more! Of course you can expect a full blog post recap once we have photos in hand, too. In the meantime, here is our general inspiration. An all-neutral palette with touches of gold foil. A little bit tropical, a little bit boho, a little bit glam. Chic is the name of the game over here, friends. Stay tuned for lots more! I have a feeling this entire week is going to be the very definition of bittersweet and I can’t wait to soak up every minute.
