Party Shopping: Host a Pie Party

Completely inspired by Lisa’s mini pumpkin cheesecake pecan pies this morning, I so want to host a pie party! A few besties spending time in the kitchen, sipping on wine and whipping up loads of delicious pies. My claim to fame in the pie department is definitely my homemade apple pie with a flaky homemade crust that’s pretty much irresistible. (Um, even if I do say so myself.) This year I’d love to try experimenting a bit more, loading up the oven with tons of fall flavors. In fact, for me the perfect way to spend a Sunday in the fall is with football on the television, a pie in the oven, a Crockpot simmering with something savory, and a mug of rum cider. That’s a little piece of heaven right there, let me tell you. Anyone game for a pie party?

YES! I've been dying to host a pie-making party this year (I bought my best friend the little score sheets and everything). Love your roundup, this is so perfect. Perhaps I'm inspired to stop talking about it and actually DO IT! Thanks so much!
