A Book Party

As the wife of an English teacher with the school year swiftly approaching, talk in our house has turned to books a lot lately. My husband is reading all of the new books he’ll be teaching and then passing them on to me. Some I’ve read before, some are new to me and I love this point in the year where we get to spend a lot of time thinking and talking about our shared love of literature. With that said, I was incredibly inspired when I saw this book party hosted by Ashley Campbell of Ashley Ann Photography and the incredible blog Under the Sycamore. (You’ll remember the incredible backyard baby shower Ashley recently hosted for her sister, too.) The party was hosted to benefit The Joyful Life Library, an organization that collects and donates books for children facing hospital stays and their families. I am in love with this idea!

outdoor-movie-partyDoes it get any cuter than kids in pajamas cuddled up watching movies and listening to bed time stories? Thank you, Ashley, for this incredibly inspiring party idea. I love parties, but a party that does good for the world brings one heck of a smile to my face. Happy Monday, everyone!
