After adventuring around Southold and Greenport, we woke up the next morning bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and ready to party. Good thing we had polished up our dancing shoes, because we were in for some fun! Kailei and Shane were married in the beautiful gardens of at Vineyard Caterers on a July day that was nothing short of beautiful. We sipped a glass of wine before the ceremony and then I tried, quite unsuccessfully, to hold back the tears while my beautiful friend married her love. The ceremony was short and sweet and just perfect.

Kailei’s dress, by Mikaella, was absolutely gorgeous and a perfect blend of simply classic and subtly fashionable that was perfect for her personality. Her bridesmaids (who were so much fun to party with) wore incredibly fun dresses by Melissa Sweet in teal. My favorite part? The dresses had pockets. Love!

The flowers were done by Ivy League Florists in Southold and their cake – which was delicious – was from Create a Cake in Port Jefferson Station. And, yes, I ate cake a week before my wedding. I was breaking all kinds of bridal “rules” that weekend.
After the reception, we went to Kailei’s childhood home where her dad hosted as all for after hour festivities and a bonfire. Later, we all went out, but not before Kailei and Shane’s adorable bulldog Dozer made an appearance in his bow tie.
From here, I freely admit that the details get a little fuzzy…as do the photos. Which, I suppose is indication in and of itself as to how much fun we had. It was the perfect way for us to destress before our own wedding and we loved celebrating with Kailei and Shane’s fabulous family and friends. A big congratulations to them and best wishes for many many years of happy adventures! xoxo
