In April, my Maid of Honor/BFF/FSIL hosted a really nice bridal shower for me with M’s family, which was a really great way to kick off the official wedding events. However, the excitement really started to mount with the shower she and my other bridesmaids hosted in May for all of my family and friends. They put so much effort into making it a wonderful day and it truly was just that.

The first thing I noticed when I walked in were the huge trays of cupcakes and lots of white roses. Two of my favorite things in life? Cupcakes and white roses. Needless to say, I knew right then and there it was going to be a great day.

The food was, of course, incredible. Miniature sandwiches, bruschetta, caprese skewers, lots of fresh fruit, bloody marys and mimosas, pasta salad, cheesecake and too many incredible things to count. It was a spread fit for Thanksgiving and it was insanely delicious.

From my favorite flower to my favorite foods to my love for monograms, the entire celebration with infused with the most lovely of personal details. Tiny terra cotta pots planted with fresh flowers served as favors and little slips of paper were placed at each table encouraging guests to impart a bit of wisdom. Not only did I receive some incredible gifts, but I got to celebrate with the most amazing women I know. Does it get any better than that? I think not. What about you – have you had a bridal shower yet?
